Welcome Eric to the TENLEGEND family! We are delighted to count him in our gentlemen footballer community.
Eric Krakauer is a multilingual soccer commentator and analyst at beIN Sports USA, who covers a wide range of leagues and competitions, including La Liga, Ligue 1, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Turkish Super Lig, the Champions and Europa Leagues. He is the Charlotte FC'S first ever soccer play-by-play commentator, assuming the role for the club's inaugural MLS season.
Originally from Portugal, Eric played at the academy level before moving to England to finish his secondary education. Krakauer then moved to New York to play soccer collegiately at Manhattan College. Beyond his work for BeIn Sports, the broadcaster has featured on DAZN calling MLS games for the Brazilian market, TUDN’s LigaMX coverage, and pay-per-view matches of COMNEBOL World Cup Qualifiers. We are certain that Eric is pretty excited about the chances Portugal has in the World Cup 2022.
His journalistic roots also extend to Major League Soccer. While living in New York, Krakauer began covering the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC beats, the latter of which was during their expansion season in 2015.
Krakauer, who is part of BeIn Sports since 2017, has called games featuring the world’s biggest leagues, teams, and players, including Spain’s La Liga, France’s Ligue 1, the UEFA Champions League and two Copa Libertadores finals. Eric also created, produced, and hosted the BigSoccerHead podcast and apparel. In addition, he was on the call when Charlotte FC Head Coach Miguel Angel Ramirez won the Copa Sudamericana title with Independiente del Valle.
Join us in celebrating Eric,
Be a TENLEGEND.
